The Licence Revenue Office (LRO) is a Unit within the GRA that facilitates the application for and sale of driver licences, motor vehicle licences and motor vehicle registration. The LRO Unit also sells liquor, trade and miscellaneous licences, some of which are House Agent licence; Pawn Broker licence; Money Lender licence; Explosives Wholesale licence; Ball and Dance licence; Cinematograph Quarterly licence; Petrol Pump licence; General Shop/ Store licence; Rice Factory licence and Auctioneers licence.
Members of the public who visit the Licence Revenue Office (LRO) to transact business are attended to on a first come first-served basis.
Brokers
A broker is someone who is someone who must be licenced by the Commissioner-General of GRA in order to conduct business with the Customs on behalf of others. The broker licence which is renewable annually may be issued to an individual, partnership, company, corporation and an incorporated body.
Applications for Trade & Miscellaneous Licences must be made to the Licence Revenue Office. Additionally, it should be noted that fees for the various categories of trade business may vary depending on the area/location of the business.
