Revised Common External Tariff of the Caribbean Community based on the 2017 Edition of the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (HS)

In facilitating access to verifiable information relating to trade operations, the World Customs Organisation (WCO) has published and circulated the 2017 Edition of the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (generally referred to as “Harmonized System” or simply “HS”.

HS consists of more than 5,000 commodity groups; each identified by a six digit code, arranged in a legal and logical structure. Guyana is among 200 countries that applies this system as a basis for its Customs tariffs.
