Tariff Headings that require Import Licence under the Trade Act

The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) wishes to remind all Importers and Licenced Customhouse Brokers that all commodities falling under the Headings listed in the Trade (Control of Import and Export) (Amendment) Order 1996, made under THE TRADE ACT (Cap. 91:01) MUST have an Import Licence from the Ministry of Trade prior to the importation of commodity and submission of an e-SAD.

With the migration of TRIPS to ASYCUDA World, this requirement was effected in ASYCUDA World on December 28, 2020, mandating the attachment of the Import Licence for the relevant commodities when preparing the e-SAD.

Please find the below list of headings that require the attachment of an Import Licence.

02.01 – 02.04, 02.06 – 02.08, 06.01 – 06.04, 08.01.10 – 08.08, 08.10, 10.06, 11.01, 15.01 – 15.22, 17.01, 27.10, 28.01, 28.06 – 28.11, 30.01 – 30.06, 31.01 – 31.05, 33.03 – 33.07, 34.02, 36.02, 36.03, 37.06, 38.08, 85.25 – 85.27, 88.02, 93.01 – 93.04, 93.06, 93.07
