The GRA is advising Public Officers that effective January 1, 2019 the following reduction in the excise rates on motor vehicles (under four years/New) for eligible public officers, became applicable:

This new provision is in accordance with the Excise Tax (Amendment) Regulations 2018.
Additionally, Public Officers will also be exempted from Import Duties and Value-Added Tax (VAT). This is in accordance with Section 23 (1)(a) of the Customs Act, Chapter 82:01, and Schedule II Item 10 (b) of the VAT Act, Capter 81:05.
