Job Purpose: 

To perform manpower/labour functions in the execution of maintenance works to the GRA facilities and amenities for the upkeep and efficient flow of operational support services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and maintaining the general appearance of the building and surroundings to prevent decay and degradation from weather or general use in accordance with required sanitary standards.
• Moving, transporting, loading and unloading cargo, goods and other materials to relevant locations, housing facilities and storage areas as directed for business continuity in support chain.
• Conducting minor repairs to gutters, pipes, shelves, storerooms, etc. as required to ensure that the areas are fit-for-work.
• Cleaning and clearing blocked or clogged pipes, lavatory sinks and basins leading to septic tank to aid in the proper irrigation of waste management.
• Replacing faulty switches, plugs and other parts of electrical system and fixtures as the need arises within various work Units for the effective maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
• Regulating the water pump daily by turning on and off when required at respective periods (mornings or evenings) to provide adequate water supply to water tanks or reservoirs and report any faults for remedial actions to be facilitated.
• Assisting in the movement of office and other equipment when necessary to effect to facilitate the smooth flow of work in the day-to-day operations of the organisation.
• Assisting in inventory and storage of stocks received in the GRA Stores for verification of the quantity supplied and delivered to designated areas for easy access and retrieval. 
• Any other related duties assigned. 

Job Specifications:

• Sound Primary School Education with a minimum of one (1) year relevant experience.
• Must be physically fit and ability to lift heavy weight.
• Knowledge of the mission, mandate, goals and objectives of the Guyana Revenue Authority.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance techniques.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and general repairs.
• Excellent innovative skills.
