Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating unit activities in line with financial procedures and controls.
- Preparing the Annual Work Plan and identifying Key Result Areas for staff performance.
- Conducting supervisory and developmental sessions to enhance staff productivity.
- Recommending expenditure plans to ensure spending aligns with releases.
- Preparing monthly requests for releases and expenditure statements.
- Compiling monthly analysis reports (e.g., overtime, expenditure categories) for Governing Board Reports.
- Maintaining financial records and ensuring operations remain within budgetary provisions.
- Assist with budget estimates and cash flow statements.
- Verifying and signing vouchers for expenditure accuracy.
- Inputting and updating releases and expenditure records in the Management Accounting System (MAS).
- Monitoring expenditure reports for accuracy.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
- ACCA Certification, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in Financial Accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of GRA’s mission, mandate, goals, and programmes.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting software, and PC applications.
- Knowledge of GRA’s standard operating procedures.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Ability to prepare financial reports and analyse programme performance.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
