Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and updating the Asset Register with full asset descriptions, identification marks, locations, and other details.
- Safeguarding all documentation proving ownership of movable and immovable assets.
- Ensuring accurate recording of all asset transfers between locations or Divisions.
- Overseeing the assignment of unique asset identification numbers and ensuring proper marking of assets.
- Reconciling the Asset Register with the Capital Votes Register.
- Conducting bi-annual or annual physical verification of assets across all operational areas, including GRA-owned or rented residences.
- Preparing documentation for asset disposals in line with the relevant Circulars and seeking appropriate approvals.
- Reconciling stock and non-stock items with purchase orders, goods received notes, requisition reports, and issue notes; prepare reports accordingly.
- Providing weekly and monthly reports to the Manager on Unit’s performance.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Job Specifications:
- Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)/ Diploma in Accounting or any other equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years’ relevant Asset Management experience.
- Knowledge of the GRA’s mission, mandate, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting software, and national procurement procedures.
- Analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise, coordinate, and motivate staff effectively.
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in PC applications and customer service practices.
