  • Determining on an annual basis the “major job objectives” for each staff member of the Work Programme, identifying and discussing with subordinates, the “Key Results Area” to be used as determinants for their performance results.
  • Monitoring staff performance; provide feedback through the staff appraisal system; identify and recommend training needs based on skill gap(s) identified.
  • Conducting monthly/quarterly supervisory and developmental sessions for staff under their supervision to improve productivity of the Division/Unit.
  • Managing the Human Resources and Operational functions with respect to performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee development to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the operational fleets to ensure that staff are transported in a safe, efficient manner and in accordance with standing rules and regulations.
  • Overseeing the completion of licensing, registration, and insurance procedures for the vehicular fleet and recording action to be taken to remedy vehicle faults/defects.
  • Verifying and endorsing overtime sheets and vehicle report cards, identifying faults/problems to be remedied.
  • Ensuring the efficient preparation of maintenance schedules for vehicles and conducting careful and random checks of drivers’ logbooks, trips undertaken, and mileage run to ensure procedures are followed.
  • Ensuring all vehicles are adequately fuelled for daily activities and vehicles are maintained in a clean manner.
  • Reviewing accident reports to ensure that all incidents/accidents are documented and reported in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensuring the Status of Fleet Report is regularly updated to accurately reflect all newly acquired and disposed vehicles.
  • Ensuring the Unit is adequately supplied with fuel requisition books, drivers’ logs, and other relevant materials.
  • Liaising with and representing GRA with external stakeholders in relation to information sharing to facilitate effective forecasting and analysis.
  • Any other related duties assigned.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Management, Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), or any other equivalent qualification, with a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mission, mandate, goals, objectives, key priorities, strategic plan, and initiatives associated with the Revenue Authority.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the administrative procedures of the Guyana Revenue Authority.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of motor vehicle servicing, minor and heavy repairs to vehicles.
  • Managerial, organizational skills, Interpersonal, judgmental, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
  • Analytical and report writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and delegate tasks to meet timelines.
  • Integrity, assertiveness, and ability to be customer and team oriented.
