Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and sorting mail received by the Guyana Revenue Authority and distribute to the specific individuals, employees and departments, promptly ensuring same is signed for by the recipient.
- Delivering all incoming mail and external correspondence to relevant Departments/ Divisions/ Sections/ Units promptly, ensuring that same is signed for by recipients.
- Verifying that drinking water is always available at the required points in the building for staff and Taxpayers’ convenience.
- Photocopying and circulating internal documents, as required, and support the administration personnel for the purpose of providing assistance with their administrative functions.
- Assisting employees with the movement, distribution and storage of office materials, tool, equipment, furniture, boxes and other supplies.
- Receiving telephone calls and relay messages in the absence of the respective Officer.
- Prepare and submit weekly production sheets of work completed.
- Any other related duties assigned.
Job Specifications
- Minimum of three (3) CXC subjects inclusive of English Language or Mathematics/Principles of Accounts, and any other equivalent qualification with one (1) year relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of external correspondence addresses and their locations.
- Integrity, assertiveness and ability to be team oriented.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage and multitask with efficiency.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, schedules and setting priorities.
