Second Class Off-Liquor Licence - Information

 

New Fees:  $3,000 -- Georgetown inclusive of Industry to Agricola

                     $2,400 -- Out of Town

Estimated Processing Time: 3 weeks

Validity Period:                    1 year

REQUIREMENTS 
1.    Two completed application forms for a Second Class Off-Liquor Licence
3.    Valid identification.  Passport or National ID
4.    Recent Police Clearance
5.    An approved plan for the premises applied for, stamped and signed for by the Central Housing and Planning Authority and the Guyana Fire Service
6.    Housing Certificate in the applicant's name
7.    Fire Certificate in the applicant's name
8.    The area to be used as the Off Licence store must be completely sealed off from the remainder of the building by walls from the floor to roof.
9.    The area that would include the counter, selling area and store room must be no less than 120 square feet.
10. The store must have only one entrance, which must lead directly to the road
11. Current shop licence in the applicant's name
 
RENEWALS
 
REQUIREMENTS
1.    Renewal of licence should be done in October 1-31
2.    Two completed renewal forms for a Second Class Off-Liquor Licence
3.    Valid identification.  Passport or National ID
4.    Current year licence
 
PROCEDURE
1.    Applicant should submit all documents to the Clerk. 
2.    The applicant will be asked to wait while the documents are being vetted.
3.    If all documents are correct the applicant will be advised when to return.
4.    The officer will conduct visits to the premises to ensure that the stated particulars on the application forms and supporting documents are in place.
5.    If any corrections need to be done the applicant will be notified.
6.    On approval of the application the applicant will return to make payment at the cashier and uplift the licence.
