    Mill Test Certificates to now accompany all Declarations for imported steel
    The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) wishes to announce that as one of the measures to protect the State’s revenue, all importers of steel and steel products will now be required to submit Mill Test certificates from the Manufacturer of the product along with their customs declarations.

    Importation of Motor Vehicles older than eight years restricted
    The Guyana Revenue Authority wishes to remind Motor Vehicle dealers and other importers that the recent legislative changes to the Customs Act restricts motor vehicles that are eight years and older, from the date of manufacture to the date of importation, from entering Guyana. This new Law took effect from May 01, 2016.

    Changes in Airport Tax
    The Guyana Revenue Authority wishes to notify the general public that effective immediately, persons sixty five (65) years and older will no longer be required to pay the full Departure Tax of four thousand dollars ($4,000) when departing from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
